Measuring guide
- Fixture height: 2–3 in (5–7.5 cm) per foot (30 cm) of ceiling.
- Where people walk under it, keep at least 7 ft (213 cm) between the floor and the bottom of the fixture.
Room coverage: add the room's length and width in feet; that number in inches is your fixture width. A 10 × 12 ft room (3 × 3.7 m) suits a fixture about 22 in (56 cm) across.
