Green Wall Sconces

Every wall light on this page can be ordered in green. There are 35 designs and each one comes in at least two colours, so green is a choice you make on the colour selector rather than the only finish on offer. A green sconce is a small commitment with a big payoff: one wash of emerald or sage on a plain wall reads as a decorating decision. These work in pairs beside a bed or a mirror, or solo in a hallway.

Sage green, olive or emerald: choosing a green wall sconce

Most listings simply say Green, but some name the shade, and the name is a better guide than a photograph. Sage green, on the Boreal and the Sun of Art Deco, is the soft, grey-leaning version that sits quietly with white walls, linen and pale wood. Forest green (the Sunrise and the Elegance Cream) and moss green (the Crystal Vine Tulip) go darker and suit a painted panel or a moody bedroom. Olive green and light emerald are both options on the Nordic Glass Olive Disc, and jade green is one of three finishes on the Refined Radiance. If you would rather mix, the Nordic Colorful Double Head sets a green shade against pink or white.

Where a green sconce light works

Green holds up under warm light better than most colours. A 2700K bulb keeps sage and olive looking like leaves rather than paint chips, while a cool white bulb pulls them towards grey. That makes a green sconce a natural bedside or hallway light, where the bulb is warm and the fixture is seen up close. Beside a bed, mount it 75-90 cm (30-36 inches) above the mattress; our bedroom lighting ideas cover the rest, and the colour temperature guide explains the bulb. For the same colour overhead, see green pendant lights and green ceiling lights, or browse every finish in wall lights. Delivery is 6-9 business days.

FAQ

Are these sconces only sold in green? No. Every design here comes in at least two colours and green is one of them, so pick it on the colour selector before you add the light to your cart. The photo you land on may show a different finish.

Which green suits a bedroom? Sage green is the easy one. It is calm and slightly grey, and it sits well with white bedding and light wood. Forest and moss green are deeper and look best against a painted wall, where the sconce becomes a deliberate accent.

Do green wall sconces need hardwiring? Most of these are wired in by an electrician. The Elegance Cream can be installed either hardwired or as a plug-in, so read the mounting line in the specifications if there is no wiring at the wall.

Can a green sconce be dimmed? It depends on the design. The French Flower dims with a dimmable bulb, several others are listed as non-dimmable, and two ask you to contact us before ordering a dimmable version. The specification list on each product page says which.
