Wooden ceiling lights and wood light fixtures
Fourteen fixtures, and almost none of them are wood alone. The wood is usually the base or the frame, paired with a second material that decides how the light looks: travertine on five of them, from the small Orin flush mount at 11 cm to a three-head fitting 60 cm across; acrylic diffusers on three, including the Nerea Lotus, which runs from 30 cm up to 100 cm; and alabaster, carved glass or metal on the rest. Stone and wood give a matt, earthy fitting that throws most of its light down. Acrylic and alabaster spread it wider and softer across the ceiling, which suits a bedroom or a hallway you want evenly lit.
Walnut or light wood
Most of these are sold in two wood tones on the colour dropdown, a dark walnut and a lighter natural or oak finish, so the choice is about the room rather than the fixture. Walnut suits darker floors, warm paint colours and rooms that already carry brass or leather. Light oak and natural wood sit better in pale, Scandinavian and Japandi rooms, where a dark disc on a white ceiling can look like a hole. If the room already has wood furniture, match the undertone, not the exact shade.

Will a wood ceiling light work with a low ceiling? That is what most of them are for. They mount close to the ceiling instead of hanging on a cord, so they keep headroom in a hallway or a bedroom with a standard-height ceiling. What bulb should I use near wood? An LED. It runs much cooler than an old filament bulb, which is the sensible choice next to timber, and a warm white around 2700K keeps the grain looking golden.
