Pink Pendant Lights

Two different things are going on in this range and they do not light a room the same way. About a third of these put the colour in the glass, so the light itself arrives tinted and the walls pick it up. The rest carry the pink on the outside - a painted metal dome, a fabric shade, a wood-and-iron body - and throw ordinary warm light while the fixture stays the coloured object in the room. If you want the room to read pink, choose glass. If you want one pink thing in an otherwise neutral room, choose the painted or fabric shade. Blush reads best where the light is already soft and low - a bedside, a nursery, a dressing corner, the far end of a hallway. It does not hold up against hard overhead kitchen light. Keep a warm bulb behind pink glass, too: a cool white bulb drains blush towards grey and takes the point away, which which colour temperature to run sets out in numbers. Much of this grid comes from the same pared-back Nordic range, which is why the shapes stay simple even when the colour does not.
